Santa Cruz uses S through XXL across both models, with sizing driven primarily by reach rather than seat-tube length. Hightower and Bronson share near-identical reach numbers in each size, so if a size L Hightower fits you, a size L Bronson will too. The Bronson sits roughly half a degree slacker and lower thanks to the 27.5 rear wheel, which slightly shortens effective wheelbase and lowers stack. Riders between sizes who prioritize climbing and reach should size up on the Hightower; riders chasing playful maneuvering on the Bronson can comfortably size down.
Choose the Hightower if you ride long, varied loops with plenty of climbing and want a true do-it-all 29er. Choose the Bronson if your home trails are steep, technical, and rewarding of a snappier, more playful chassis.
Santa Cruz Hightower - full 29er rollover smooths out chatter on long rides
Santa Cruz Bronson - more travel and slacker geometry for steep, technical descending
