Two of the most-asked-about enduro bikes on the market, arriving from completely different sales models. The YT Capra is the direct-to-consumer enduro icon - 170 mm rear / 180 mm front travel and a long, slack chassis at a price most dealer brands cannot touch. The Trek Slash Gen 6 is the dealer-network answer with mixed-wheel MX geometry, Trek's RE:aktiv damping, and a lifetime frame warranty backed by a global service footprint. Both win Enduro World Series rounds. The choice is mostly about how you want to buy, demo, and live with the bike.

At a shared Medium the Capra sits about 11 mm taller in stack (632 vs 621) and 13 mm longer in reach (478 vs 465) than the Slash. The Capra runs longer than the Slash at every comparable size, and Slash adds an M/L between Medium and Large that the Capra does not offer. Riders who normally fit between Medium and Large should look hard at the Slash M/L (630/475) - it lands almost exactly between the Capra Medium and Large. At the small end the Slash S (614/449) is slightly more aggressive than the Capra S (608/450). For very tall riders the Capra XXL (656/520) extends past anything Trek offers in the Slash.
Buy the Trek Slash if dealer support and resale matter to you, you want the safety net of a lifetime frame warranty, and the M/L size fills a gap you have been forced to compromise on with two-letter sizing elsewhere. Buy the YT Capra if you have ridden a similar long-reach bike before, you want the most travel and the longest geometry per dollar, and you are comfortable buying a $5,000 bike online. The Slash is the easier bike to live with day-to-day; the Capra is the better deal on the spec sheet. Either one will outrun most of the trails you will ever ride.
Trek Slash - Mino Link geometry adjust, an M/L size for in-between riders, and dealer-fitted suspension setup take the edge off the inevitable enduro-bike compromises
YT Capra - 20 mm more fork travel, longer reach at every size, and a true XXL frame make it the more capable raw enduro tool. The Slash closes the gap on chunky cornering thanks to the MX rear wheel.
