Two Taiwanese aero road bikes built for sprinters and crit racers. The Giant Propel Advanced runs the Advanced-grade composite frame with full internal cable routing and an aggressive 73° head angle; the Merida Reacto pairs the CF4 carbon layup with NACA Fastback tubing and Lampre-Merida WorldTour DNA. Both target sub-7.5 kg complete builds. Geometry and price-per-watt separate them.

Both bikes use the same 6 size labels (XS through XL plus M/L), but the Reacto runs noticeably lower and slightly longer at every size. M-size example: Propel 545/383 vs Reacto 530/392 - that's 15 mm less stack and 9 mm more reach on the Merida. A rider on a Propel M with a 100 mm stem will often need a 90 or 95 mm stem on the Reacto M, or stay on the Reacto in the same size and enjoy a more aggressive aero position.
Pick the Propel if you want a taller front end, big dealer support, and proven Giant build quality. Pick the Reacto if you want a lower aero position, more aggressive fit, and better value at the $3-5k tier - and you have a Merida dealer within driving distance. The 15 mm stack difference at M is the biggest fit decision here.
Giant Propel Advanced - 15 mm higher stack at M makes it the friendlier aero bike for long days or stiff backs.
Merida Reacto - lower front end and slightly longer reach put a stronger rider in a more aero position.
