Where it applies

  • No height-only prescription

The checked manufacturer pages give geometry but no height or inseam bands. We have not inferred official fit limits from frame labels.

  • Palta generation matters

The /palta page describes Palta II and links Palta III separately. Use the correct generation when shopping for a used or new gravel bike.

Basso's Astra and Palta II use different sizing systems. We captured the geometry from each official product page, including the reference size for every stack and reach figure. Those pages do not provide height or inseam windows, so compare frames rather than treating a generic height range as a Basso recommendation.

Basso Model Geometry Charts

The checked manufacturer pages publish frame geometry, not rider height or inseam limits. We have not invented those limits. Compare the sourced model charts below with a bike that fits, then confirm your choice with the manufacturer or a fitter.

Verified model-year geometry

These rows come from the linked manufacturer charts. Match the product and generation before using them. An undated chart is a dated source capture, not a promise that every model year shares the same geometry. Missing measurements are not estimated.

The official table gives identical stack and reach for 45 and 48; those values are preserved, not interpolated. This is a capture of the linked catalog chart, not verification of every Astra model year.

The official page calls this design Palta II and lists Palta III separately. Do not transfer these five sizes to Palta III. The chart does not publish rider height or inseam limits, and does not name a model year.

When Between Sizes

  • • Comfort priority: Choose the larger size
  • • Performance priority: Choose the smaller size
  • • Long torso: Size up for better reach
