2026 frame sizes by height and inseam for SuperSix EVO, Synapse, CAAD13, Topstone, Habit and Scalpel
Cannondale's current SuperSix EVO and Synapse road families use numeric sizes from 44 to 61. Topstone gravel bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids and most e-bikes use letter sizes, but their height bands vary by model. Find your height in the relevant chart, check your inseam against the exact bike's standover measurement, then compare stack and reach. Cannondale recommends 2.5 to 5 cm of standover clearance in riding shoes.

Sizing reference
Cannondale size labels change by model family. SuperSix EVO, Synapse and CAAD road bikes use numbers such as 51, 54 and 56. Topstone, Habit, Scalpel, Quick and most electric bikes use XS to XL. Use the chart as a starting point, then open the geometry table for the exact model and year. Cannondale's own gravel guidance recommends checking inseam against standover and leaving 2.5 to 5 cm of clearance.

Road labels
Current SuperSix EVO and Synapse families run from 44 to 61. Older charts and other models can use different endpoints, so do not assume a 63 exists on the bike you are buying.
Gravel labels
Topstone uses XS to XL, while race-oriented gravel and cyclocross families can use numeric labels. A road-size number does not translate directly to a Topstone letter.
A 54 SuperSix EVO, a medium Topstone and a medium Habit solve different fit problems. Their labels are not interchangeable, and current model pages can differ from older retailer charts. Confirm the model year before using any height band.
Cannondale's gravel guidance separates frame size from final bike fit. First choose a frame with safe standover clearance. Then use saddle position, spacers and stem length for smaller fit adjustments.
Best for: riders who want a lower race position
Current SuperSix EVO frames use 44, 48, 51, 54, 56, 58 and 61. CAAD13 uses a similar numeric system, but its available endpoints and geometry can vary by year.
Fit tip: If two sizes fit, compare stack and reach rather than choosing the larger number for comfort. A different cockpit setup is usually a better adjustment than an oversized race frame.
Best for: endurance riders who want a taller, less aggressive front end
Synapse uses numeric road labels from 44 to 61, but its endurance geometry is taller than the SuperSix EVO at a comparable size.
Fit tip: Start with the published Synapse height range. Do not size up just to raise the bars; compare stack and available spacer adjustment first.
Best for: mixed-surface, endurance and bikepacking riders
Topstone uses XS to XL with deliberately broad overlaps. Cannondale's own guidance says height, leg length, flexibility and the planned riding style all matter.
Fit tip: Between sizes, a shorter torso usually favors the smaller frame. A longer torso can suit the larger one, provided you still have 2.5 to 5 cm of standover clearance.
Best for: cross-country, trail and enduro riders choosing by handling preference
These families use letter sizes, but their height bands differ. Trail starts smaller than Jekyll, while Habit and Scalpel have broad overlaps through the middle sizes.
Fit tip: Use the smaller overlapping size for easier direction changes and the larger one for a roomier cockpit, after confirming standover and dropper-post insertion.
Best for: fitness, commuting and upright recreational riding
Quick has the widest letter-size run. Adventure and Treadwell use fewer, broader sizes, and Remixte or low-step versions may not offer the same labels as diamond frames.
Fit tip: A low-step frame improves mounting clearance but does not shorten the cockpit automatically. Choose by comfortable reach and saddle adjustment.
Best for: electric mountain, commuting and trekking riders
Cannondale e-bike families do not share one size run. Moterra commonly uses S to XL, while some urban and compact models use fewer sizes or one-size geometry.
Fit tip: Check the exact e-bike frame style and model chart. When two sizes fit, favor the option you can balance, mount and handle confidently at low speed.
Check standover first, then use torso length, flexibility and riding style. Height alone cannot tell you whether the extra reach of the larger frame will feel better.

Alloy race bike with SmartForm C1 hydroformed aluminum and a full carbon fork. Size 56 stack/reach (575/389) is identical to the carbon SuperSix EVO LAB71 at the same size, so the CAAD13 fits exactly like its carbon sibling - useful for riders who want race geometry without the carbon price. Cannondale only sells the CAAD13 in 44 to 60 cm, so very tall riders should look at the SuperSix EVO instead.
Entry-level alloy road bike with SmartForm C2 aluminum and a carbon fork. At size 56 the stack is 560 mm and reach 395 mm - slightly lower and longer than the CAAD13 at the same number, giving a more traditional aggressive fit. Trim options (Optimo 1 through 4) share identical geometry; the difference is groupset and wheels.
Flagship carbon race trim sharing the standard SuperSix EVO's Series 0 carbon layup and geometry. LAB71 is Cannondale's top-tier build line: SRAM Red AXS, HollowGram SL45 wheels, and an integrated SystemBar R-One cockpit. Size 56 numbers (575/389) match the rest of the EVO family, so an existing SuperSix rider can move to the LAB71 trim without re-fitting.
XC race full-suspension with 120 mm of travel front and rear, FlexPivot rear linkage, and Cannondale's Proportional Response carbon. The 2024 redesign added 5 mm of reach and slackened the head angle to 66.6° for modern XC race courses. Medium reach is 430 mm with a 602 mm stack. Riders moving from the older Scalpel-Si should size down or stay the same - the new geometry runs longer than the previous generation.

The high-pivot platform gives a rearward axle path that smooths square-edge hits but pushes the chainstay slightly longer than a Habit at the same size - riders coming from a Habit should expect a more planted, less playful feel.
Entry alloy hardtail with a 1x drivetrain, 100 mm fork, and 29" wheels (S frames run 27.5"). Medium stack/reach is 626/440 - a relatively long reach for the price point, so riders comparing against the Trek Marlin 7 (609/440 at M) should expect a similar cockpit length but a noticeably taller front end. Good first MTB for riders who plan to grow into more technical trails.
Fitness hybrid with 700×40c tires, a suspension-corrected rigid fork, and flat bars. Medium stack/reach is around 610/418 - more upright than a flat-bar Synapse but lower than the Adventure 3. Good for paved bike paths and light gravel; not built for singletrack despite the CX naming.
Comfort hybrid with a swept-back bar, padded saddle, and a very upright fit. Medium stack 626 mm and reach 362 mm puts the rider almost fully upright - made for casual neighbourhood riding, bike paths, and short commutes where speed isn't the priority. The Adventure EQ trim adds fenders and a rear rack on the same frame.
Mahle X35 hub-motor e-commuter with 250 Wh internal battery, 650b wheels and 50 mm balloon tires. Medium frame fits 5'4" to 6'0" (162-183 cm) with stack 580 mm and reach 379 mm - relaxed but more sporty than the Adventure thanks to the lower stack. Single-speed assist makes the riding feel like a regular bike with a tailwind rather than a pedelec.
Bosch Performance Line CX trekking e-bike with rear rack, lights, and fenders included from the factory. Diamond-frame medium stack/reach is 629/430. Riders who want easier mount-and-dismount should look at the Tesoro Neo X Remixte (low step-through) - geometry is slightly different on that frame. Class 3 (28 mph assist) in the US.
