How to choose the right Liv size
Liv uses compact labels starting at XXS or XS. Those labels do not map neatly to a conventional centimetre size or to the same letter on a Giant. Use this page to narrow the choice, then check the chart for the exact model and year.

Use height and inseam to shortlist a size, then compare model-specific stack and reach.
Giant vs Liv
Do not copy your Giant letter size automatically. Liv uses different geometry, proportions and contact points.
Conventional equivalents
Retailer charts sometimes translate Liv XXS-L road frames to roughly 47-59 cm. Treat those numbers as a comparison aid, not a frame measurement.
What to check after height and inseam
Choose overlaps by posture and handling
On a Langma, the smaller option gives a lower, quicker race fit. On an Avail, compare stack and reach before sizing up for comfort. On an Intrigue, a shorter reach feels livelier while a longer wheelbase feels calmer at speed.

Use the model-year height chart first, then choose the smaller overlap for quicker handling or the larger only when its reach remains comfortable.
Avail
Road BikeBest for: endurance riders who prefer a taller front end for long rides
The same letter does not feel identical to a Langma. Compare stack and reach instead of sizing up automatically for comfort.
Intrigue, Pique and Embolden
Mountain BikeBest for: trail and cross-country riders choosing between manoeuvrability and stability
If two model-specific sizes fit, use the shorter reach for tight trails and the longer reach for speed, after confirming standover and dropper-post clearance.
If two Liv sizes look possible
Start with the chart for the exact model and year. A generic Liv range may be wider or narrower than the bike you are buying.
- Road: compare stack and reach; do not use a conventional centimetre equivalent as a frame measurement.
- Gravel: choose the smaller Devote for agility or the larger only if reach and loaded stability suit your use.
- Mountain: choose by reach and handling after checking standover and dropper insertion.

- • Height: Stand barefoot against a wall and measure from floor to top of head
- • Inseam: Stand barefoot with feet 6 inches apart, press a level book firmly upward, and measure from the floor to its top edge
- • Arm Reach: For road bikes, measure from shoulder to fingertips

- • Comfort priority: Choose the larger size
- • Performance priority: Choose the smaller size
- • Long torso: Size up for better reach
