The rule
Michigan permits cyclists to ride two abreast on the roadway. Two abreast permitted on the roadway except on roadway portions set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles, where the cap does not apply. Three or more abreast is not permitted on the roadway. See Mich. Comp. Laws § 257.660b (Riding on roadways and bicycle paths).
