Minnesota permits cyclists to ride two abreast on the roadway. Two abreast permitted on the roadway when not impeding the normal and reasonable movement of traffic. Three or more abreast is not permitted on the roadway. See Minn. Stat. § 169.222 subd. 4 (Riding two abreast).
Group rides in Minnesota can ride two abreast on most roads. Keep an eye on traffic behind — if a faster vehicle can't safely pass, single up.
