New Mexico permits cyclists to ride two abreast on the roadway. Two abreast permitted on the roadway except on parts of roadways set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles, where the cap does not apply. See NMSA § 66-3-705 (Bicycle equipment).
Group rides in New Mexico can ride two abreast on most roads. Keep an eye on traffic behind — if a faster vehicle can't safely pass, single up.
