Florida permits cyclists to ride two abreast on the roadway. Two abreast permitted; riders must move into a single file when being overtaken from the rear by a faster-moving vehicle, and may not impede traffic. Fla. Stat. § 316.2065(6). See Fla. Stat. § 316.2065(6) (Bicycle regulations - two-abreast clause).
Group rides in Florida can ride two abreast on most roads. Keep an eye on traffic behind — if a faster vehicle can't safely pass, single up.
