Colorado permits cyclists to ride two abreast on the roadway. Two abreast permitted; persons riding two abreast shall not impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic and shall ride within a single lane. C.R.S. § 42-4-1412(6). See C.R.S. § 42-4-1412(6) (Operation of bicycles - two-abreast clause).
Group rides in Colorado can ride two abreast on most roads. Keep an eye on traffic behind — if a faster vehicle can't safely pass, single up.
